A Prayer Vigil, sponsored by the Stewardship Team, will beheld at King of Kings on Saturday, April 6 from 3 PM-9PM with a break to accommodate the regular 5 PM worship service. The focus of the Prayer Vigil, held in collaboration with the Greater Newburgh Interfaith Council, will be “Harmony and Understanding”. Starting at 3:00 PM and continuing on the half hour throughout the Prayer Vigil, clergy from the Greater Newburgh Interfaith Council will lead us in brief spoken prayers.You are invited to sign up for a 30 minute time slot to pray in the sanctuary or in your home. You may kneel at the altar or on the kneeler or sit in a pew or a chair. Three identical binders with prayer requests and formal prayers will be available for you to use to guide your prayer and meditation, if you so choose.You may request prayers to be said by filling out a Prayer Vigil Request Form (available on the glass table in the narthex) and placing the completed form in the Prayer Request Box.A member of King of Kings will be a host throughout the Prayer Vigil and refreshments will be served in the Fellowship Hall throughout. We are extending this invitation to all members of the Greater Newburgh Interfaith Council and our entire community, so please invite your friends and neighbors who belong to other faith communities to join us. Quarter-sized handouts are available for you to share with friends, neighbors,and wherever you go! To reserve your time to pray for “Harmony and Understanding” please sign up on the Prayer Vigil Registration Sheet in the Communication Center. A member of the Stewardship Team will be available after worship today to assist you in signing up for the 2019 Prayer Vigil.
